Petr Cizek, PhDPetr Cizek, PhD

Petr Cizek, PhD is an award-winning environmental consultant who specializes in the application of GIS mapping and 3D landscape visualisation to land use planning and environmental impact assessment projects.  He has over 30 years of practical experience working with First Nations and citizens' groups across Canada.  Working with the Dehcho First Nations, he helped design and negotiate legal protection for one of the world's largest conservation area networks.  Dr. Cizek completed a PhD at the Collaborative for Advanced Landscape Planning, University of British Columbia in 2014.  He also has degrees from the land use planning programs at the universities of Guelph (MSc, 1991) and Waterloo (BES, 1988).
